The enemy is trying to provoke the Armed Forces to strike back with shelling from the ZNPP

This was reported by the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Nataliya Humenyuk, during the telethon "Edyni Novyni". She thanked the Ukrainians for following the recommendations and keeping quiet about the situation in the Kherson region. She also spoke about the situation in the Zaporizhzhia region, in particular, about the night shelling and enemy provocations at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The enemy is desperate and demoralized.

But they, on their part, with the leadership, are determined to inflict maximum damage on our positions, in particular, to keep the civilian population under tension as well. What is happening, in particular, as a bridge between us and the Zaporizhzhia region. In the direction of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, the enemy continues to shell the Nikopol district, keeping the local population in suspense.

Tonight there were also shelling there. These are almost 50 rocket systems of salvo fire, heavy artillery. There was damage to residential buildings and administrative buildings, damage to industrial infrastructure.

Unfortunately, there are wounded - this is one civilian. But in general, all this is done in order to provoke a retaliatory strike, in order to then accuse the Defense Forces of shelling the nuclear power plant themselves. But our tactics involve a completely different concept, which is accordingly supported at the diplomatic level.
