This was reported by the press service of the National Guard of Ukraine on its social media. The air reconnaissance unit of the National Guardsmen spotted an engineering vehicle of the invaders, after that the drone operator dropped a suspended free-falling bomb on the target. Judging by the powerful explosion, the bomb hit an engineering munition and this caused detonation of ammunition followed by the complete destruction of the vehicle.

This is the first confirmed destruction of this model of Russian equipment in Ukraine. Zemledelye is a modern Russian engineering vehicle for remote mining, designed to quickly create minefields in especially dangerous directions.

The developer of the system is NPO Splav. The system was first demonstrated on June 24, 2020 at the Victory Parade in Moscow.

The vehicle is designed to quickly create minefields in especially dangerous directions at a distance of 5 to 15 km.

It fires rocket shells, which ensure the installation of mines in a given area. It is possible to lay minefields of any complexity, including with passages for own troops. Externally, the artillery part of the engineering vehicle resembles those launchers from the Grad MLRS.

The vehicle uses similar 122mm ammunition, but for mining ammunition is used with a warhead filled with mines ready for installation. The remote mining system includes a launcher carrier on an armored eight-wheeled KamAZ chassis, a supply vehicle and transport and TELs with ammunition.

The vehicle has two transport launch containers for 25 missiles each, it is equipped with a satellite navigation system, a computer and a weather station, which allows it to make adjustments and take into account the influence of the weather on the flight of missiles.

In accordance with the second protocol of the Geneva Convention, each mine is equipped with programmable self-destruct mechanisms.

This ensures that minefields are automatically deactivated after a certain time without human involvement.
