Harry and Meghan ‘delighted’ as their Frogmore Cottage replacements named
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly thrilled with who will replace them in Frogmore Cottage. According to OK! Magazine, it looks like the home's new residents are Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.
Prince Harry and Meghan are close pals with Eugenie and Jack and said to be delighted with the move. The pair were asked to vacate the home by the Royal Family in January. King Charles reportedly asked them to vacate the property in the wake of Harry's memoir Spare.
Harry and Meghan's spokesperson said a "request" had been made for the Sussexes to give up Frogmore Cottage close to Windsor Castle. The move comes after Harry's controversial autobiography was released in January.
A source told OK! that Eugenie is "determined to have the baby in the UK and bring up her children in England", despite Jack needing to be in the US more. The source said: "The Sussexes are disappointed by the move but couldn't be happier that Eugenie and Jack will take it over. They have been staying there on and off for the past few years anyway. "[Eugenie and Jack] went to see Harry and Meghan last month in California.
They took over some small personal belongings left in the property.
They were also helping to box up items at Frogmore to be shipped over to California." The insider added: "Andrew is delighted that his daughter will take over the property for the time being."
Jack's new role will involve him travelling between the UK, US and Portugal, and whenever he and Eugenie are in the US, they will stay with Harry and Meghan in their Californian home, a source said.
