Anatoliy Guretskiy, Prosecutor of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, stated that the Ukrainian special services wanted to eliminate the "first persons of the state," the European Pravda reports. According to him, a car bomb was supposed to be used for this.

"The terrorist act was supposed to be carried out in the central part of the city of Tiraspol, in the place where a large gathering of citizens was expected," Guretskiy said. It is reported that a car with explosives parked by the road was supposed to detonate when it drove past the Transnistrian officials.

8 kg of hexane and screws, nuts, and wires were allegedly found in the car. It is worth noting that this is not the first time that the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic has accused Ukraine of illegal actions.

In April 2022, a series of provocations took place on the territory of self-proclaimed Transnistria. Explosions were reported near the administrative buildings of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, as well as near the Tiraspol Airport.

Moldova's President Maia Sandu stated that the forces of the "Transnistrian Moldavian Republic" were behind the blasts. The leader of the unrecognized territory accused the Ukrainian authorities of "terrorist actions."

As previously reported, a military meeting in unrecognized Transnistria was announced at the end of February.
