Armed Forces of Ukraine received 20 Warmate loitering munitions

A frame from a video by Oleh Horokhovskyi Benefactors have prepared 20 Warmate loitering munitions for the Ukrainian military. In the summer of this year, banker Oleh Horokhovskyi, monobank and UNITED24 collected 64 million hryvnias for the Drone Army.

These funds were used to purchase 40 Warmate kamikaze drones. The first batch of 20 drones was sent to the front lines to the Ukrainian military in September. "Today, 20 more Warmate drones will strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In June, it became known that in total monobank received more than 144,000 contributions. Of them, 152 are worth at least 100,000 hryvnias. The largest contribution sum was more than 551 thousand hryvnias.

In addition, the bank raffled off 40 individual appeals to invaders to be written on drones. To participate in the draw, it was necessary to donate amount strating from 999 hryvnias -- 6,682 people did this. Warmate is a loitering munition developed by WB Electronics that was first introduced in 2014.

The manufacturer considers the munition a good alternative to anti-tank guided missiles.

Operators mark a point on the map, provide autopilot data for a strike -- and the drone hits the target on its own. These loitering munitions hit lightly armored vehicles, air defense systems, radio electronic warfare and other critically important enemy objects.

In September, the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania signed a contract with the Polish WB Group for the purchase of Warmate kamikaze drones.
