Baykar announces when construction of the drone production plant will be completed in Ukraine

Reuters reported about this. Turkish defence company Baykar is planning to complete the construction of its manufacturing plant in Ukraine in two years. Haluk Bayraktar stated that plans were moving ahead despite some obstacles created by Russia's war against Ukraine.

Right now we have architectural design. The detailed design phase is finished. And we will move ahead with construction actually... within two years we would like to finish it," Haluk Bayraktar said.

The factory will take up a space of over 30,000 square meters, and more than 300 Ukrainian engineers and technicians will be employed there.

Ukrainian engineers will be involved in the development of new Bayraktar products.

In August, it became known that the Turkish Baykar plans to build in Ukraine not just a factory for the production of Bayraktar TB2 attack drones, but also a research center and a center of advanced production. As previously reported, on September 9, Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with Haluk Bayraktar. The meeting participants focused on further cooperation of Ukraine with the company in strengthening the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The parties also discussed the details of constructing the Baykar factory in Ukraine and manufacturing new products using Ukrainian parts.
In July, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine sent the draft law to the Verkhovna Rada, which allows the construction of a factory for the production and maintenance of drones by the Baykar in Ukraine.
