Occupiers call on people not to switch to standard time along with Ukraine

ROMAN PETRENKO -- FRIDAY, 28 OCTOBER 2022, 11:32 The occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast allegedly "will not switch to standard time for the first time" this year, according to the Russian occupiers. Source: Kremlin-aligned news agency Interfax with reference to the so-called occupation "administration" of Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Quote: "The same time [daylight saving time - ed.] remains in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. There will be no time change in 2022."

Details: The occupation "mayor" of Enerhodar has called on residents to "ignore all calls from the Ukrainian authorities to switch the clocks to standard time" because the city allegedly "is living in the Russian Federation and according to Moscow time" and does not want to "pay attention to the false misinterpretations put out by Ukraine". Note: Ukraine sets the clocks back one hour on the night of 29-30 October.

In Russia, the switch to standard time was cancelled back in 2014.
