Foreign intelligences activity increased in Germany

This was reported by the German Military Counterintelligence Service (MAD - ed.), informed DW. Recently, attempts to spy on Bundeswehr facilities have been repeatedly recorded. In particular, training centers where the Ukrainian military was trained to use Western weapons.
Foreign intelligence uses aerial drones for these tasks. Russian and Chinese intelligences also increased their activity on German territory.

According to her, now the security situation in Europe has changed, and protection from espionage has become especially important. "Intelligence services, managed at the state level, use all the funds they have to extract information, increase their influence and realize the interests of their countries," the Head of MAD emphasized. Similar incidents occurred in the Free State of Bavaria at the Wildflecken training ground, located next to the State of Hessen.
According to the German Ministry of Defense, on the night of October 1, unknown drones repeatedly crossed the air border of these lands.

At the end of August, according to the German Ministry of Defense, Russian special services tried to monitor how the Ukrainian military is trained in Germany to use Western weapons, which go to the Ukrainian Armed Forces as military assistance. Then MAD recorded suspicious vehicles near the Idar-Oberstein city in Rhineland-Palatinate, where the service, sanitary and mobilization centers of the Bundeswehr are located and training on the operating of PzH 2000 self-propelled guns, and the city of Grafenwehr in Bavaria, where the Bundeswehr landfill is also located.
