The U.S. Department of State reported about this. With these funds, the company should help Ukraine detect and remove landmines, unexploded and abandoned ordnance, improvised explosive devices, and other explosive hazards.
Tetra Tech will conduct training on demining in accordance with the international standards and provide the necessary equipment. The project also supports deploying additional clearance teams and instructors.

"Tetra Tech will train the Government of Ukraine demining and EOD teams to international standards and provide them with the tools necessary to do their jobs," said the U.S. Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price. He noted that the project also supports deploying additional clearance teams and explosive ordnance risk education teams through the local non-governmental organization Ukrainian Deminers Association.
The allocated funds are part of the £91 million in demining assistance announced by the U.S. Department of State. As previously reported, Ukrainian demining specialists of the Mine Action Center were trained in Kosovo.
Specialists improved their skills in the disposal of explosive objects at the MAT Kosovo EOD&ERW Training Establishment training center.

The Mine Action Center (MAC) was created only last summer of this year with the funds of the State Special Transport Service training center. Besides, the center's specialists were trained in the course "Search is associated with high risk", which was conducted by representatives of the Swiss Mine Action Fund. In addition, Ukraine has received an Armtac 400 mine clearing vehicle.
It was purchased with the funds collected through UNITED24. The equipment is already helping employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine to demine liberated areas in the Kharkiv region.

The Armtac 400 mine clearing vehicle has a remote control at a distance of up to 800 meters, which guarantees the safety of the operator. It can clean more than 2400 square meters of territory per hour, neutralizing explosive residues at a depth of 55 cm.
The design of the vehicle protects the vehicle from anti-tank mines weighing up to 10 kg.
