A five-year-old boy was stabbed to death during a clash between families of two migrant workers in Kerala's Thrissur. The man who stabbed the boy has been handed over to the police.

The deceased has been identified as Najirul Islam, the son of a migrant worker from Assam. The victim's mother, Najima Kattoo, and one other worker also sustained grievous injuries during the clashes. advertisement According to police, there was a long-standing dispute between the families of the two migrant workers. Police said a scuffle broke out between the two families on Wednesday night and continued till Thursday morning.

The boy was stabbed with a weapon during the clashes. The man who stabbed the child was tied up by other workers and handed over to Varantharappilly Police. Police are yet to share details of the accused.
