Akwesasne police have identified only two adults of Romanian nationality, Florin Iordache, 28 years old, and Cristina (Monalisa) Zenaida Iordache, also 28 years old. Florin Iordache was carrying the Canadian passports of two children, one and two years old, whose bodies are those of the two deceased minors. Canadian media said that the police identified the four deceased Indian nationals as the deceased couple Praveenbhai Chaudhari, 50, and Dakshaben, 45, as well as their son Meet, 20, and their daughter Vidhi, 23 years old.

Canadian authorities have not released any information about the possible causes of the sinking of the vessel.
