Prince Harry 'swore at King Charles' in money row, new book claims

Prince Harry 'swore at' his father King Charles during a heated phone call about money, a new book has claimed. The book alleges that tempers flared as the frustrated Duke of Sussex repeatedly asked for funds which were not granted - and the argument led to Charles no longer taking his son's calls. The claim was made in Robert Jobson's new book, Our King: Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed, which is being serialised by the Daily Mail ahead of its release tomorrow (April 13).

According to Jobson, Harry had been contacting his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, to discuss financial matters. But she grew "tired" of talking about money matters and told Harry to contact his father - who is said to be redistributing funds within the monarchy - directly instead, the Express reports. A source reportedly told Jobson: "Her Majesty found Prince Harry's calls quite difficult and wearisome.

However, this is said to have led to a heated argument between Charles and his son during one phone call. Jobson claims: "Prince Charles simply stopped taking Harry's calls after his son swore at him and repeatedly asked for funds.

When the Queen asked Charles why he hadn't given in, he told her that he wasn't a bank." The new book is being released a few weeks before the King's coronation, which will be staged on Saturday, May 6. It is not yet clear whether Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, who are based on the US, will reunite with the royal family for the historic occasion.

It has been reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex still haven't responded after receiving an official invitation to the event.

The coronation will involve a procession between Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey, where the ceremony will take place.
