Prince Harry's only role at King Charles' Coronation as he attends solo

The role of Prince Harry at the King's coronation next month has been revealed. Harry will be there at the coronation on May 6 but will play a minimal role. Feuding brothers Harry and Prince William won't be seen in a camera shot together, an insider said.

Reports indicate Harry will be sat with other non-working members of the Royal Family and those he has no bad blood with. This includes the likes of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and their husbands. He is not expected to take part in either the King's Procession or the Coronation Procession to and from Buckingham Palace, nor will he be on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

Insiders said Harry was aware the historic occasion will be "pretty much the most important day" of the King's life.

According to sources, Harry wanted a summit with King Charles and Prince William to discuss their issues before the Coronation. A source told The Mirror: "Harry has been very clear and his position hasn't wavered - he isn't going to come if he feels the atmosphere will be as toxic as it was during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and funeral.

"He's said he wants to reconcile with his family and it's their call, but so far nothing has changed." The Duke of Sussex was recently confirmed to be in attendance at the huge royal affair, but won't be there with his wife Meghan Markle and the King's grandchildren.

The coronation falls on the same day as young Archie's fourth birthday.

The Palace said in a statement: "Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May. "The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet." Sources told The Telegraph that Harry "would always regret it" if he didn't attend the Coronation and wanted to be there on the "biggest day" of his father's life.

Harry will be returning under the cloud of his recent tell-all memoir 'Spare' in which he gained the name from when the King supposedly told Diana, the then-Princess of Wales, that she had given him a "spare."
