Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Were Adorable at a Lakers Game

For once, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared in public in a completely drama-free moment. The Sussexes were caught on the Jumbotron, giggling and canoodling on April 24 while watching the LA Lakers against the Memphis Grizzlies. Even royals embroiled in some kind of familial blood feud deserve a night off every once in a while, I suppose.

One Sussex fan posted a video of the couple from the NBA game on Twitter, writing, "Prince Harry and Princess Meghan at the Lakers Game ??." The NBA's official Instagram account also posted a video of the royal couple, writing, "Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in LA! #NBACelebRow." Let's not forget that while Prince Harry may be the epitome of British royalty, the Lakers are the duchess's hometown team. According to People, the crowd at the Los Angeles game also included representatives of the Kardashian dynasty: Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Kim's son Saint West.  Most of the other royal news lately has focused on the upcoming coronation of King Charles, Harry's at least semi-estranged father, and the guest list.

And this is the first time Harry and Meghan have made a public date-night appearance since it was announced that while Harry would be attending the event, Meghan had opted to stay home in California with the couple's two small kiddos. Rumors have circulated that the duchess's decision to skip her father-in-law's big day had something to do with a letter she sent the king about "unconscious bias" years ago, which she has denied. "The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago," said a representative in a statement to NBC News.  For instance right now, apparently, she's thinking about basketball.
