There will also be some famous faces in the congregation with the likes of Ant & Dec, magician Dynamo, Repair Shop presenter Jay Blades and the singer Lionel Richie bagging themselves invitations.

But it's also a big day for Princess Charlotte as she's celebrating her eighth birthday - with Prince William and Princess Kate releasing a new photo to mark the special day. In the US, Prince Harry will be preparing for his trip back to the UK. It's unclear when he's making the trip, but sources have have said he's likely to be in his homeland for no more than 24 hours.

Coronation countdown - four days

Hello and welcome to Tuesday's Royal Family live blog as we edge closer and closer to the King and Queen's Coronation.

It was a busy day for announcements yesterday with Buckingham Palace confirming the details of the robes King Charles will wear when he is crowned. They also revealed some of the celebrity names who made the 2,200-strong guest list, including Ant & Dec, magician Dynamo and The Repair Shop's Jay Blades. However there was also the sad announcement that the wife of a duke who has a major role at the Coronation has died following a short illness.

The Duchess of Buccleuch's family confirmed her passing in a short statement.

Her husband the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensferry, Richard Scott, is due to take a ceremonial role in King Charles' Coronation ceremony by carrying the the Sceptre with Cross during the service.

It's not yet clear if he will still take part.
