In early May, the Canadian Embassy in Ukraine reported that Ukraine had received the first batch of mine clearing vehicles from the Canadian government. The equipment was transferred to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. These are unmanned, remote-controlled GCS-200 mine clearing vehicles produced by the Swiss Global Clearance Solutions (GCS).
With the help of the attached equipment, these vehicles carry out mechanical demining of territories. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, mechanical mine clearing vehicles of various types have already proven their effectiveness. Such vehicles significantly speed up demining processes and ensure the lives of Ukrainian sappers.
