Russia Drowned Us: Animal rights activists hold rally in Germany against ecocide in Ukraine

In the German city of Augsburg, animal rights activists have staged a protest called Russia Drowned Us. Source: UAnimals In this way, the participants wanted to show that Russia is killing people, animals and committing ecocide as a result of blowing up the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.

The action was held in a fountain, as the activists scattered toy animals and figurines of "dead" animals made of paper around it.

As part of the event, the participants emphasised that Russian propaganda spreads narratives that "Ukraine could blow up the dam itself" and that "the dam was old and fell by itself."

The activists are sure that the main goal of the aggressor country is to sow the opinion that "everything is not so clear" and "the West should not get involved in that." "Russia must be punished for every crime and Ukraine must do everything possible for this!", the organisation emphasised.
