Man steps on Petal landmine hidden in grass in Kharkiv Oblast and has his toes torn off
A 52-year-old man in the Kharkiv district suffered an injury after stepping on a mine hidden in the grass on 18 June. Source: State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast Details: The State Emergency Service of Ukraine noted that the resident of the liberated village of Tokarivka in the Derhachi hromada (an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories - ed.) stepped on a PFM-1 Petal land mine, which was placed in the tall grass.
The toes of his right foot were torn off in the explosion; he is in the hospital.
