The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) said that the aircraft were manufactured by the Russian Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant.

The number of Su-35S fighter jets transferred to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in this batch is not reported, but the released video captured two aircraft. Combat aircraft made a flight to the base airfield. The Su-35S was accepted by the technical services and passed factory tests.

Each aircraft was tested in the air in various operating modes. This is the first batch of Su-35S fighters, delivered by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant in 2023.

In 2022, the aircraft plant handed over seven Su-35S fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces - three in September and four in December. Presumably, the transferred Su-35S fighter jets were manufactured as part of the fourth contract signed by the UAC in 2021 for the supply of Su-35S fighters to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It is possible that this contract includes 24 aircraft with delivery until 2024.

It is also believed that the first four fighters within this contract were delivered to the Russian Aerospace Forces in December 2022 and appear to have the blue tail numbers "04", "05", "06" and "07".

Before that, under the three previous contracts of 2009, 2015, and 2020, the Russian Aerospace Forces received 104 serial Su-35S aircraft between 2012 and 2022.

Considering the four aircraft delivered within the new contract in December 2022, by the beginning of 2023, the Russian Aerospace Forces received 108 serial Su-35S fighters. Su-35 fighters of the following batches are currently in production. In addition, the volume of deliveries of new Su-57 fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces will increase this year.
