Pervomaiskyi in Kharkiv Oblast under fire – 12 injured, including 5 children

The explosion caused a fire in Pervomaiskiy, cars and residential buildings were damaged, a Suspilne correspondent reported.

Siniehubov said that, according to preliminary information, the shelling was carried out with a high-explosive shell. As a result, several cars in the car park caught fire.  As of 14:07, 12 people were reported injured, including 5 children.

Later, the police of the Kharkiv region reported that 16 people were injured, including 7 children. The youngest child is one year old. The victims were taken to a medical facility.

Early reports indicate that a child and a woman were seriously injured in the strike on Pervomaiskyi, the director of the Emergency Medical Centre Viktor Zabashta told Suspilne Kharkiv.

 

Specialists are working at the scene, and medics are providing assistance. Suspilne notes that when the explosion occurred, the city was saying farewell to the deceased soldier of the 3rd Assault Brigade, Oleh "Malysh" Fadieienko. No air-raid warning was issued in Kharkiv Oblast.
