The new missile project is known as CAMM-MR. The range of the missile is 100 km, this will allow Poland to get a new long-range system to replace the S-125 and S-200 SAMs.

The Strategic Partnership Plan between the United Kingdom and Poland, signed on 5 July 2023, has strengthened cooperation in the defense industry between the two countries.
The plan is based on the defense cooperation agreement signed in 2017. The key to the partnership is building next-generation capabilities for both countries' armed forces. The first major agreement between the two countries was the export of the AH140 multipurpose frigates to Poland.
The country ordered three frigates of this type, with construction at Polish shipyards. In addition, Poland will manufacture individual structural elements for the British project as well.

Missiles are mounted in the Mk.41 Vertical Launching System cells. Moreover, the British developer and manufacturer of missiles MBDA UK received a multibillion-dollar contract for the production of CAMM missiles for Poland. Missiles of this type are used in PILICA+ and Mala Narew air defense systems.
The contract is estimated at 2.4 billion dollars.
This is the largest agreement in the European part of NATO in the niche of short-range air defense systems.

In addition to missiles, MBDA UK manufactures modular launchers that can be used as stationary air defense systems.
