The Defence Forces of Ukraine destroyed two Russian Msta-S self-propelled guns with counter-battery fire

Aerial reconnaissance unit assisted in detecting and destroying Russian artillery, which was trying to stop the advance of the Ukrainian forces in the east.

A video featuring the enemy’s destruction was released by the Come Back Alive Foundation.

The counter-battery advances of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the Russian Msta-S self-propelled howitzers.

The Russian invader artillery was trying to interfere with the Ukrainian troops offensive in the eastern direction.

However, a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone detected two Msta-S self-propelled guns.

The Russians had set up their firing positions in foresty area.

Upon identifying and confirming the coordinates of the invader’s location, Ukrainian gunners destroyed the enemy equipment with two well-aimed shots. Precision-guided ammunition was used for this.

The video footage captured almost simultaneous explosions of ammunition – first over one of the systems, and then over another Russian self-propelled gun.

Counter-battery warfare is a complex of organizational, reconnaissance, and fire measures to defeat artillery batteries (platoons) at enemy firing positions and destroy, suppress, or gain fire advantage on the battlefield.
